Punjab & Sind Bank will invite young graduates to its 2024 apprentice opportunities for 100 Apprentices. It shall aim at the recruitment of students who want to pursue a career in the Banking Sector at the ground level. Under the apprenticeship program, apprentices will gain practical working experience, skills and stipend money to support them financially.

Age Relaxation: The minimum age of the applicant should be 20 years as on the last date of application. There are relaxations in respect of age to the candidates belonging to reserved categories, including SC/ST and OBC. That means the bank will get diversified manpower.
Language Competency: Apprentices should be at least conversant in the local language of the state or union territory to which they are applying. This will constitute a vital criterion since, as a means of communication, all or any type of query from the customer can be reflected to the customer better, thus directly impacting the overall customer service service delivery.
Selection Process
The selection process into the apprenticeship positions has three phases.
Online Written Examination: In this selection process, the first stage is the online written examination. Here, it calls for aspects of reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general English and computer knowledge. This is a question paper in the multiple choice question format, so proper preparation would be required from the candidates’ end.
Language Proficiency Test: Candidates who qualify in the written test are subjected to a language proficiency test. Financial Aspects of the Apprenticeship
One of the attractive features of Punjab & Sind Bank apprenticeship is the monthly stipend ₹15,000. Such a stipend thus provided will make them financially sound for the practical experience that they would gain through this apprenticeship. This stipend may cover their living costs, and hence, it would not be a problem for candidates to concentrate on their training without the burden of paying their daily expenses.
Apart from these monetary benefits, this apprenticeship program gives them essential training. Apprentices will learn customer service, banking operations, transaction processing and a lot more other financial products. Application Fee
Candidates interested in applying for the apprenticeship must pay a nominal application fee. The fee structure is as follows:
- For candidates belonging to the General/OBC/EWS categories, the application fee is ₹500 + GST.
- For SC/ST/PwD candidates fee is ₹100 + GST.
It is essential to note that the application fee is non-refundable. Therefore, candidates should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before submitting their applications.
